Situation
Two business owners in their 18 month old business over stretched with their time, doing a great job with the ‘hands on’ doing but struggling to keep up and be effective. Staff are unclear of their roles and don’t get to spend time with the owners to gain direction, not enough clear processes to support the service delivery to customers, customers starting to make complaints about turnaround times.
Solution
Worked with the Directors to clarify roles in their business, prepare and implement strategic and business development plans. An ongoing coaching programme over 12 months supported the Directors to align their priorities with strategic and business development objectives.
Results
A more harmonious workplace with clear accountabilities and a focused, less stressed team and happy customer base. Directors gained more confidence in working “on the business.” With regular management meetings, processes were reviewed as required to remain current with business requirements, and revenue targets were now being met.
